Review from Daughter of Resident

Review from Daughter of Resident – October 2019

We were relieved when mum arrived at St Joseph’s Nursing Home from a residential home. The deputy manager had traveled with me to Surrey during her annual leave to assess mum so that a plan of care could be made. On the day of admission, mum received a wonderful welcome, and every attempt was made to make her feel at home. Mum was always clean and made comfortable, able to rest in bed when she needed to. Unfortunately, after just a few days there, mum had a major stroke. The nurses and carers were able to provide appropriate care so, mum did not spend her last days in a hospital. Something she would have hated. Mum died peacefully at St Joseph’s a couple of days later. Mum was kept comfortable and clean at all times. I am a health care professional myself, and I could not fault the staff. The nurses and carers were excellent, very professional, very supportive, nothing was too much, and they all provided outstanding nursing care. We feel very blessed to have found St Joseph’s Nursing Home.
